I'm a dance producer/remixer based not far from London, UK. I am promoting my house tracks under the name 'Wainscott' and my trance tracks under the name 'Luna' of which the latter alias was born way back in 2000 when I was heavily influenced by the typical semi commercial hard trance/house around during that year. After gaining the attention of a major dance label in 2001 which went nowhere and several years of loss in musical direction I tried messing around with a few bootlegs which I didn't really release or promote. But then in early 2007 I stumbled accross the idea of what was to become "In The System". Finally I thought I was onto something that could be great and the alias of 'Wainscott' was born.
At the same time as trying to follow my first 'Wainscott' track with more of the same style of uplifting melodic retro house I still wanted to revive 'Luna', it never really went away but I'd totally lost the point of what I was trying to do all those years ago and ofcourse trance had changed over the years. So straight after a good run of producing several 'Wainscott' tracks I started working on "Sky Scrapers" at the end of 2008. Like with "In The System" I was really proud of this track and desperately wanted to create more tracks like it but not exactly the same. It took me a while but I launched 'Luna' onto myspace and reverbnation in July 2009 to an all round good response from people that had already been following what I was doing.
In 2010 "7th Heaven" by 'Wainscott' (including remixes by myself 'Luna', Carl Jurgens, Vintage & Morelli and Tony DiAngelo) was signed to US label DHS Recordings, as well as "Keys 2 My House" getting featured on Ministry Of Sound's 'SOS Presents' compilation and my 'Wainscott' and 'Luna' remixes of "Another Night" by Dutch dance/pop duo Halev were also released that year on PM Recordings.
In 2011 I remixed a track by an Australian dance act called Deepface, entitled "Around The World" as well as working on other ideas of my own. I've just had one of my 'Wainscott' tracks "I Saw You Last Night" released on UK label Tactal Hots Music, followed by my Wainscott remix of John Steel's "Late Night Technology" on Tactal's sister label Groove Noise. As well as that, "Keys 2 My House" has just been signed to a brand new UK label, Sweep The Floor Records. It also happens to be their debut release! 2013 is also looking busy on the remix front under both my aliases. Watch this space.....
