Paul Linn is a solo synth artist, and one half of a lifelong songwriting partnership with lyricist, Bill Bryant, who wrote early lyrics for 80s synthpop star, Howard Jones, including the No.2 hit, "What Is Love?" and seven other songs from (or connected with) the No.1 album, "Humans Lib" album. Paul and Bill teamed up in 1985, and dedicated themselves to writing a string of unique pop songs with lyrics of an insightful spiritual theme, and between 1986 and 1991 they clocked up an impressive 330 gigs in the UK. Six albums of their original material were recorded, however the 'big time' didn't quite come about, despite some agonisingly close calls. After rather a long break (20 years), in 2012 they decided to resurrect it all again, and are together writing a brand new album, and are back out there doing solo synth gigs. A selection of their past work can be heard here, as well as regular treats of live versions, demos, church versions and tasters from the new album.

When the beat kicks in at 4 minutes into this mix, I LOVE IT. Fab groove, fab track there.

I collect recordings that feature my hero Ian Anderson, and this one is a superbly welcome addition. Great to hear.
