Since being born the smallest of a litter of six kittens in a poor back street of medieval China, Pattern Face went on to achieve many great things in his relatively short feline life, most notably rescuing local Kung Fu master ‘Lung Cheng’ from his burning dojo. Sensing that the young cat was destined for more important things but masked as a repayment for saving his life, Lung Cheng taught Pattern Face the secret Kung Fu style of ‘The Fighting Cat’, knowing that he would save his life many more times as their friendship ran it’s inevitable path. Fortunately the powerful master was right and the two friends went on to defend the enslaved people of Yuzhou province and defeat the evil Emperor Wu’s assassin hoards in bloody battle turning the tide of the dynasty wars and banishing the Commander Lo Feng to the land of spirits forever. When Pattern Face died at the ripe of age of 18 many thought this was the end of his triumphant story, one man knew differently and Lung Cheng placed a magic incantation on the still warm body of the cat claiming that his soul would be reincarnated many times over, have many adventures and one day return as a human to bring great joy to the world.
