With broken things around you it's hard to remember being new
Or at least a little shinier, not to say forgiving,
as objects go, we had our ragged nails too
I bet you never thought I'd complain, thought you'd find a switch or two
I can't through it back in their masks, they reveal my sickly complexion
A voice of confection said, "We'll sue"

    Here's looking at you
It seems as though we never met
There's a corridor in my head, with framed spirits
    They're dead
Please allow me to trace the roads upon your glass

You think the fireplace is comfort?
    Try trusting tired eyes
Yes, I have faith but not forgiveness
I can forgive myself if it's a pretty lie
As another breathless "good morning" stinks up the confessional,
seize me, I'm coughing in the corner
    Coughing on trivia
    It's my ocean
See, I know everything's going to be fine,
    so seal me once more
I don't need to chew that notion
I'd like more time in bed,
'cause in my dreams are things that you will never see
You'll never see them, over and over again

Just like the movies end to the sound of Antonio,
    licking cracked lips
He savours the kiss that Autumn's audience missed
I guess, who can you kid without adjectives and narcotics?
Not to say it's getting harder
    But it's getting harder,
    it bears a trampled vein
I used to be disappointed that I wasn't an actor,
now I'm disappointed that an audience came

When so much is beyond reality,
    the strangest things don't happen
I'm sorry Mary, more than you could imagine
