Lee is an independent artist with over 30 original albums to his name. His newest release The Limberlost is a mix of intricate pianos, footwork-inspired hip-hop, and live taiko drumming, creating a kaleidoscopic canvas that Dipped In Dollars called "all over the place in the best kind of way." Lee's previous album The Last Thing was ranked #56 in Radio 1190's "Best 100 albums of 2010" poll.
The demand for Lee's dizzying collage work of bucolic hip-hop, homemade electronic funk, and acoustic heartstring melodies has led to independent radio play from Santa Barbara (KCSB 91.9) to Tokyo (Radio Forest 76.3) and to tens of thousands of fan downloads. In the past three years Lee has also placed four songs into constant worldwide rotation on Sirius XM's Chill station. The extreme licensability of Lee's beats has led to recent syncs with ESPN, Crocs, Details Magazine, Sony Pictures Classics, Showtime, Sperry Footwear, and The Smithsonian Institution. Lee has composed original material for TruGreen, Covidien Medical, and The University Of Colorado.
Clearly a musical renaissance man, Lee performs nationally with the experimental hip-hop trio Garrett Sayers Trio, Denver indie-rockers The Knew, alt-country outfit The Beebs, and has covered Daft Punk and Rage Against The Machine with his own jazz trio. Patrick has created remixes for Matt Morris, Awning, Chimney Choir, and Live Footage. The Rapid Transit Collective blog recently summed up the power of Lee's one-two punch succinctly: "It’s lovely, mesmerizing music, and unlike anything we've heard before."
