After starting a working partnership with Argentinian Intermittent by releasing on - and remixing for - his Bugs N’ Stuff label, Dane Patrick Bateman invited the producer to release on his own imprint, Tic Tac Toe. This Bad Intermittent EP is the result and bares all the usual hallmarks of the respected producer – it’s dark, deep minimal with plenty of atmosphere.

Next up, “Aracnidos” is aptly named as it sounds like a bunch of scuttling spiders scurrying over metal surfaces to start with. Soon enough, though, a fizzing and decayed synth line prickles with static and intricate percussion lines flutter and flap up the middle of the track. It’s a fiery track that sparks the synapses in your brain as much as the nerves in your feet.

An unhinged and off-kilter release, this EP shows Intermittent to be a skilled sound designer and Tic Tac Toe to be a label not afraid of experimenting…. tip!
