Patrice was born on January 6, 1989. As a child, Patrice's mother Lois Hill would wake up every morning listening to Gospel and Classical R&B, this became the start of the passion for music that would consume Patrice's mind in her spare time and even at school she would daydream about singing and spreading this "great feeling" she felt when hearing music to the masses. At the age of 12 Patrice joined the children’s choir at her church. (Emmanuel Tabernacle where her leaders were Bishop Jeffery D. Goldsmith and First lady Regina A. Goldsmith) Just a year later she was able to join the youth choir. It wasn’t until a young man by the name of Brian "BC" Ellsworth became the youth choir director that Patrice really began to understand music as a ministry. “I began to understand God and develop faith from music, but also from the people who taught it to me," States Patrice. The youth choir was later directed by a young lady named Katay Norwood who’s passion and confidence really inspired Patrice. The remainder of Patrice’s time in the youth choir was under the direction of Marshena Ashong who challenged Patrice to be a better singer and Christian. At the tender age of 15 Patrice and her twin sister Patricia were recommended for the adult choir, at the time 15 was too young to qualify according to the guidelines. “We were recommended kind of early but we were very faithful and well-mannered and God blessed us for it”, Patrice says. Under the direction of Firstlady Regina A. Goldsmith, Patrice’s passion and love heightened with the choir sound and atmosphere. In 2010 Patrice officially started working with E.T. Fam. Records Led by Victor “Proof” Nickleberry (Gospel Rapper) “Victor allowed me to venture out musically and didn’t make me stick to one sound, I would bring what I wrote and he would go with it as long as it glorified God….that freedom shaped me into the artist I am”, Shortly after officially starting with E.T. Fam. Records Patrice felt it was time to work on her solo career , she parted ways with the label and began to work very closely with good friend Producer/Recording Artist/Musician Tyron “vaan Go” Goldsmith and on November 16, 2012 Patrice’s first small project was released entitled “Good Tidings” this project feat. Rayshone Anderson, music award winning Sean C. Johnson and vaan Go himself “I love working with Tyron(vaan Go), he is a genius and I have grown as an artist just by working with him”. Patrice is excited about what lies ahead on this journey and know’s that God is the center and driving force of it all.
