Paosin The Well, former bassist of the post-rock band Aedes Aegypti, is a one man experimental project hailing from the Philippines. Drawing influences mainly from but not limited to post-rock, electronica, trip-hop, shoegaze, ambient and more. His music is comprised with a dramatic showcase of weaving instrumental rhythms and playful repetitive multi-dimensional melodies to create a dreamlike soundscape manifested by pounding beats, ethereal ambience, droning piano, textured electronics, and all kinds of elements meshed together. From atmospheric propulsions and idiosyncratic arrangements to tidy time signatures and twirled leitmotivs, Paosin The Well manages to make his compositions simple yet layered with meaning. His music maybe a little bit eccentric to the public's auditory nerves, but it marks only the first phase in his ongoing musical evolution.
