About
Pantamuzik started back in 1999 as an electronic music label. It was founded by Humberto Polar with the purpose of releasing latin american artists that work with the aesthetics of techno and house but are rooted on the vast creative insights of afro-latin music. The first Pantamuzik editions were launched in Peru and Colombia and were mostly DJ mixes in CD format, featuring tracks by colombian, chilean, peruvian, argentinean and mexican producers. "Delahouse" Vol. 1 and 2 (mixed by Polar in 2001) were followed by "Electrodaca", "Corte Unisex" and "Musica de Panta" compilations.
From 2004 Pantamuzik settled in Mexico City and started releasing digitally, a move that allowed them to expand their audience to Europe. They signed with prestigious underground latinamerican musicians and DJs such as Miguel Toro (Venezuela/Berlin), Israel Vich (Peru), Nu (Peru/Berlin), Signal Deluxe (Mexico), Mild Bang, Ricardo Abeyllera and Cindy Freeman (Mexico), Julian Brody (Los Angeles/Mexico), Razz (Argentina) and Monopolar (Peru/Colombia). After 10 years, Pantamuzik continues to support new artists and is constantly releasing and taking their artists on tour through the world. Some of the most interesting artists from the european scene have joined the label on fantastic remix work, such as M.In, Sierra Sam & Marcus Vector, Jay Haze, Argenis Brito and Camea.
