Greetings:
Hey Everybody, my name is Panos, I am a Sound Engineer/Producer and I present you some of my work here.. I hope y'all enjoy it!
Bio:
From a young age I showed a natural inclination towards music among other things, at some point at the age of 12 I asked my parents for a bass guitar and a couple of years later I attended a music school to refine my music skills.
Soon I found my self jamming with school and local bands.. At this exact point I realized that I wanted to be able to record the music we were playing and our ideas in order not to forget them, and this is how I got my first cassette tape recorder.. the tape recorder later became a PC, then a mixer was included, some more software, microphones and more sophisticated hardware and software added...
At this point it made sense to me that I wanted to be a sound/recording engineer..
After high school, I moved to Rethimno Crete were I had the greatest time of my life and I studied Music Technology and Acoustics. During my studies there I was intrigued by other domains of music technology (besides the recording engineering part) such as Music Production and Acoustics. My concentration on my final project was room acoustics, were I compared the old fashioned formulas to predict the reverberation time in a room with a newer more complex/accurate method as stated by the EN12354.6. After this final project I graduated and I was awarded a Bachelor Of Engineering (BEng) in Music Technology and Acoustics.
A couple of years later, I decided that It was time for me and push my limits of knowledge a bit further in order to develop and refine my skills on the music production and sound engineering domain, so I moved to UK in order to attend a post graduate program for a Master of Science (MSc) in Music Engineering and Production.
In the meantime, I continued my music endeavors and I kept working on my music, I worked as a Live Sound Engineer in venues and concerts, I Recorded, Produced and Engineered several bands, and on the side I designed and acoustically treated home and project studios for musicians, bands and some composers.
Nowadays I keep doing pretty much the exact same things.. adding rock climbing and cooking in the list as some of the extracurricular activities. Unfortunately I will have to set everything on pause as I will serve in the army for 9 months starting by this September (yes it is compulsory here.. it sucks...) and hopefully next summer I'll be back fresh!
