Veteran house music producer Antonio Caballero re-started his Panama Red label in 2011 after giving music a break to attend to his family. Caballero originally started Panama Red in 2005 shortly after finishing school with a recording arts degree from Columbia College in Chicago. The idea was to start a house music label that captured all forms, stems, and shapes of the genre - a label that would demonstrate how the house language had spread globally and united all fellow house enthusiasts. He had to put it aside for awhile for the demands of life and family but as he listened to his vinyl and saw the digital download era evolving he felt in 2011 that it was time to start Panama Red up again, digitally.

“I feel that house has evolved and continues to stem off at a very fast pace. The ease of listening to artists’ music online now makes it very easy to connect, discover, and collaborate globally with like-minded artists. I feel that it was a perfect time to start releasing music again and I am very happy that I decided to move forward with it.”, explains Caballero, “I hope to offer the world a place to come discover, connect, and become part of my Panama Red label by enabling my privately selected sounds from diverse artists to influence one’s consciousness in a positive way.”
