With her versatile performances, Pamela Coats, clarinettist, has made a name for herself in Europe as well as in the United States. As a recitalist, Ms. Coats has performed regularly in such concert series as the Bürgermeisterhaus (the Mayor´s Hall) Concert Series (Essen, Germany) as well as the DOMKultur Forum (Cologne, Germany), where she has received wonderful reviews: “an impressive personality and a brilliant clarinettist”- Orchesterverein Zürich, “amazing musical ability”- Dattelner Morgenpost, “Ms. Coats breathed life into these extraordinary distinguished works”-DOMKultur Forum, “Ms. Coats has a spectacular, passionate dexterity”- Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung. She has received awards and prizes in international competitions in Italy, Germany, as well as in the USA.
Highlights of her solo career include performances in the “Orpheus Classical Music Series” as well as the “Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert Series” in Chicago which is broadcasted live on WFMT-FM Classical Radio and Channel 25 TV. An active chamber musician, Ms. Coats has participated in several projects with performances in such halls as the Beethovenhalle (Bonn), Berliner Philharmonic, Dachau Schlosserkonzert and Severance Hall collaborating with such artists as the Vardanyan Quartet (London) as well as the International Chamber Artists (Chicago). She was also selected to participate in the Yehudi Menuhin project “Live Music Now” in North Rhine Westphalia. As an orchestra musician, Pamela Coats has performed in both opera as well as symphonic orchestras and has participated in such projects as the West Deutsche Radio Musikfest as well as obtained the position of principal clarinet of the Rome Festival Orchestra.
