PKH has been an active musician since the age of eleven when he started drum lessons at school. Inspired and influenced by Gary Numan he aspired to synthesis which neither personal finances nor comprehensive education could afford.
His first 'synthesizer' was a Casio VL-Tone. An incredible instrument that a lot was learned from. Progressed (?) onto a Casio CT-403 where he learned about chords and the knack of trying to manually sync the VL1 sequencer to the 403's rhythm patterns.
After saving up he got his trusty Roland SH-101 second-hand in 1984 and the love of everything synthetic and programming synths began. He also got a Moog Prodigy later, but they parted company due to financial strains.
An experienced live performance keyboard/bass player, PKH was one half of duo No Shelter, laterly Fascination a club covers act that appeared in venues between Shepards Bush and Glasgow!
In 1987 his claim to fame was playing at The Marquee Club on bass with Blue Ice in a national newspapers Battle Of The Bands competition.

His main influences are Numan, Duran, Depeche Mode/Yazoo, JM Jarre, Japan, Ultravox, T.Dolby, Nik Kershaw, Scritti Politti, Go West,TalkTalk, Fad Gadget, Toyah, Kate Bush, Steeley Dan/D.Fagan, Marillion, It Bites, Wendy+Lisa, Sneaker Pimps, Curve............

Influencial musicians: Gary Numan, Billy Currie, Nick Rhodes, Richard Barbieri, Mick Karn, Pino Palladino, Mark King.

PKH was using an old PC with Cubase/Yamaha SW1000xg/ Pro53/ Oddity/ impOSCar/ ReBirth VSTi's and a Roland JV1080, Novation 61SLmkii. Focusrite Trakmaster, RODE NT2A and NS10Ms monitors.
Recent lack of activity due to a major pc failure.

PKH is now armed with Cubase 6 / Focusrite Scarlett 8i6/ Pro53 / Oddity / impOSCar / Arturia V Collection / Novation V-Station / Roland JV1080 and a Novation 61SLmkii.
Basses: Three STATUS series 2000; Westone Thunder 1A Fretless.

In 2002 he attended Leeds College of Music where he graduated with an HND(distinction) in Music Production.

PKH is currently looking at ways to make a living from his music/sound design and adding more original compositions to Soundcloud.
