Stats for this track
For the past two years (since 2009), I've been making tributes for the one and only Jay Dee/Dilla which up until now, have been moments in which I personally dive into emotion to produce whatever comes to me.
For this one specifically, I tried combining what was my favorite and also his favorite : If you know about "Welcome 2 Detroit", on the liner notes he explains how much he loved the Eath, Wind & Fire song which he made a composition inspired from it. So I used that and also one of my favorites which is the infamous break from "African Rhythms".
The intention is not to sound like a Dilla beat - but to DO ME while having his spirit on it. Not intending also to make the greatest beat ever - its just my emotions.
Thank You Jay Dee. For inspiring me and everyone that knows and truly loves your music.
