WOW... groovy. The mix is pretty cool too. Might be a bit harsh in the upper frequencies. Maybe a slight dip on your master eq around the 10k mark? What are you using for your stereo widening? Or are you just panning? Stereo delay? The bass is really warm though man... awesome.
-
@dent: Thanks for listening and the constructive comment! There wasn't any mastering done on this, apart for some limiting. We didn't do any stereo widening, but tried to carefully pan all the elements and giving them quite some width by having two similar yet different sounds playing the slight same pattern. I' not gonna tell you what we used for the bass, but i can hint that we work only with live and no external plugs :) cheers !

Seems to lose that groove a little bit right here
-
@Benwaa: Interesting... Could you pelase develop a bit more ? What would you rather hear ?
-
@opuswerk: Well just before the break the track is really grooving along and makes me wanna dance tbh, and just after too, I think the sort of synth stab line you got going on kinda kills that aftrer a little bit too much of it, the sound kinda mellows the track out a bit and takes away from the groove, it feels the track needs to step up a bit or just change slightly, ie adding some more perc or something? I'm not sure what, it's just the way it feels to me. The groove of everything is really cool and good but I think the lack of change by here makes it too familiar so it seems to lose it slightly
-
@Benwaa: thanks for that in depth reply, we'll see what we can do about it all. Hopefully make it flow better.
-
@opuswerk: Think i just understood what you meant by loosing the flow. I guess i know what to do now. Watch out for the new version :)

a subtle delay together with a minimal percentage of spread could be nice
-
@Campo: thanks for the comment, wil definitely think about adding something here. Still need to go through the track again soon.

Overall a great track, sure the groove is lopst a bit towards the and but I like it alot, I so have to agree though that the highs are a bit overpowering and a bit fatiguing on the ears after a bit. Good stuff none the less
-
@Benwaa: Thanks for listening ! Highs are obviously an issue in this mix. Will give it a go this week and clean it up.
