Open Records is a forward-thinking electronic music imprint based out of the lush tropical paradise of Cairns, Australia. The Open Records sound is just that: open to interpretation. Through our diverse range of artists, everyone on the team has a different view on what the Open sound is, or will be, and that is what makes us special.

The one thing we all share in common is a love of deep, intelligent, dancefloor-oriented techno and house music, designed to rock the dusty festival or sweaty club alike.

With over 150 tracks to our name, we have featured the music of some of the world’s finest artists, including Antix/Fiord, Kasey Taylor, Gary Beck, King Unique, Matador, Erphun, Weekend Heroes, Jamie Stevens, D-Sens, Miki Litvak, Pow-Low, Criss Source, SQL, SunControlSpecies and more, as well as introducing the world to some of the new wave of talent including Interpulse, FunkForm, Closer Apart, Rhythm Nectar, Algenon and Waltone.
