Another one from the deep of the vault, literally saved from a cassette that my player decided to eat. This is the very first multi-track I ever did. A few years before I got my own recorder. Parts of this make me cringe, but it's all we did, all on cassette, and I still like the song. The recording is so bad that I've let a few people hear it. But this is SOUNDCLOUD!
A girl I hung out with for a bit, Karen Roberts, was a great guitar player. She had all these words in a notebook. So I read a chunk of what she would let me one day. I found a particular poem, took it home, and came back the next day with this song. She says, "You made it not sound corney!" "No, it's still corney, but with cheese!" I said. So we used the recorder she just got for xmas and made this recording in, like, 30 minutes. It doesn't get any more low-fi than this folks! I'm playing acoustic and singing, she's playing a very clean electric and singing.
