This is a difficult and tragic dilemma. Whether you're gay or straight, the Baptists will never accept a person who is "different". They ask you to believe a lot of things that don't make any sense, chief among them being that you were born in sin. What could be more damaging to a person's sense of self? Your path will not be easy, but I wish you courage and strength.
