About

I am a 73 yr old retired train driver. I kick myself for letting all these years go past me without learning a musical instrument. I have written many poems since 1985 and there are some I have put a strum too. The ukulele craze got me about 2011 and our uke group meet twice a week to have FUN and we play at the local nursing homes as well. I enjoy singing, as crackly as it might be, and professionalism is not in my vocabulary. Like the rest of our group I just have fun.....I do enjoy sound cloud and quite a few contributors and I sincerely hope some listeners will receive something from my meagre efforts........norman

@robynyoulten: hi robyn, thank you for your support, it is always nice to receive a positive comment especially from a person who knows how to perform. this old song is still popular even with my great grand kids who dance along with the music and will probably last just like many old favourites which , with most of them, are hard to beat…. thanks again , enjoy life, and always keep smiling …. norman

@robynyoulten: Hi robyn, I put the poem up again for easter period. I experience wonderful, emotional feelings when a persons responds to me after they read this poem and I, myself am touched emotionally when I read it. I often think about the time I wrote the poem and how it only took a few minutes to complete. I may have been chosen to get this message to the world ,,,,, I don;t know….. A mystery or a miracle …. who knows ???? The best thing is , it is there for everyone to enjoy……norman….. PS, raining here today. a good day to play uke and record anything… norman
