Oh So Coy delivers wonderfully sincere dance music, journeying through the deeper, soulful streets of electronica.
Born in 2010, a project of South African producer Matt Prehn, Oh So Coy was initiated as an outlet for his array of studio projects.
In a short period since, modus operandi took a shift with the label expanding to include a truly international roster of artists, always with a focal point on developing South African talent.
The Oh So Coy family includes Dakin Auret, Bang Bang, Camouflage, Floyd Lavine, Daniel Ray, Raymond Mather, Stones & Bones, Nick Lumb, Nohijo, Yunome, D@bit, Pat Callaghan, Sean Michaels, Tidy Daps, Nicolas Bassi, Steve Banks, DJ Haze with many more pencilled in.
Recently the label has arrived in 12” format kicking off with our Lo Priority Grooves sampler. Vinyl is an important medium to us and we have a number of exciting projects lined up for the future.
Support so far has been positive with the likes of Quentin Harris, Grant Nelson, Mark Farina, Mario Basanov, Giom, Evren Ulusoy, Marvin Zeyss, Andy Ward & Robert Owens all laying their stamp on the label’s output.
