It may be a departure from their other 4 albums, but if you try to take it by itself, the whole thing is actually quite nice. Awesome song - loved them before and I must say I love their new direction as well. Yes it is pop but is great pop.

Hey guys, don't forget that "Information" was the preview track for Pariah and it sounds the same for me. It's a single track so it's tuned as it should be and It's not the first pop song of Dredg anyway. Give the album a chance and consider that Dredg needs to play more instinctively. Never seen Mark having fun on stage but always very focused so ok, I'm a bit disapointed but I can understand this step.

On first listen I didn’t know what to think of the new Dredg single. But the first time I listen to Dredg I also didnt know what to think. On a closer listen, ” The Thought of Losing You” is a straight forward song, no flash. Its clear in its message, and if you cant understand that get over yourself and stop listening. Write your own music and see how it fairs. Dredg continue to push their limits, which sometimes means striping things down. This album/single is not El Cielo, it’s Chuckles and Mr. Squeezy. Deal w/ it or don’t. This is Dredg.

People should stop saying they "went pop." Pariah has a freaking disco song on it (Mourning this Morning). IF you don't like the song, fine, but if you think that Dredg has never written a pop song before, you're fooling yourself.
