Majic Squid is a four-member rock/blues band formed in 2009 by Mark Lawrence (guitar), along with current members Connor Wood (bass) and Jonny Hall (drums). Since then the band has undergone a few changes of line up that now includes guitarist Phil Cresswell and the recent addition of lead singer and guitarist, Chris Theobald.

The band has performed at many gigs over the last 3 years across Stockport, where the band was formed. Playing at Bramhall and Hazel Grove Festivals, as well as Stockport Carnival in 2011 helped the band to gain press attention. This saw them invited back to Relay For Life, and secured them a debut performance at Salford Music Festival. As well as performing covers of its favourite bands such as Foo Fighters and Muse, the group has also started to write its own songs.

Subsequently, Majic Squid had its first broadcast on local radio station Pure FM. Their first EP of three brand new tracks, featuring new member Chris and recorded at Great Image Studios in Hazel Grove, is currently being released on their SoundCloud and Youtube pages throughout July, August and September.

@Joel Congi: Cheers, we're selling the new EP at our launch gig in January if you want a hard copy of it, if not, I think we will be selling it on ITunes.
