Fueled by the famous words uttered by Ghandi, Xavier ‘DJ X’ Moreno uses every opportunity on stage to bring a complete change to atmosphere. Hailing from a little Island off of the East Coast of the United States known as Brooklyn, NY he is no stranger to an eclectic mash up of flavors and styles. If told 10 years ago that he would be on stage dictating the flow of an entire arena the then timid X would have responded with a shy laugh. After picking up his first set of direct drive turntables at the age of 16 he locked himself in his bedroom and began his journey.

A short time later, towards the end of almost 2 years as a Business Undergrad at Florida Gulf Coast University, X dropped out in an effort to pursue his dream. In what most may have looked at as a career set back he saw as a career catalyst.

In the years to follow X found himself manning the boards at local radio stations as a production engineer and being featured as a guest mix show DJ while steadily obtaining gigs on the 1’s and 2’s on his days off. Day by day, slowly but surely refining each cut, scratch, and mix.

In his stint touring the country he has performed alongside World Renown artists such as The Jonas Brothers, Flyleaf, & Switchfoot. A main staple in his touring schedule includes the Get Motivated Seminars in which DJ X finds himself sharing the stage with World Leaders, speakers & athletes such as Former President George Bush, Former First Lady Laura Bush, Former Secretary of State Colin Powell, Zig Ziglar, Larry King, Rudy Giuliani, Hall of Fame & Super Bowl Winners Terry Bradshaw, Joe Montana and many more. Companies such as L.A. Fitness, The Buckle, Aaron’s and Anchor Blue have all acquired DJ X’s services for In-Store promotions.

His ability to stay on the pulse of entertainment world led MTV to select DJ X, as part of their national, month long, online and TV based competition “Follow Me: The Search for the First MTV TJ”. He battled his way through a series of Twitter based challenges to ensure his spot in the top 5. The search consummated at with a live finale in New York City where DJ X came in as the second runner up solidifying his position as a leading social media expert.

When he’s not on the road, the Atlanta based DJ stays in the mix locally by promoting concerts and special events at clubs, public schools, and Juvenile Detention Centers. DJ X looks to continue to extend his brand as a leading force in providing the most engaging experiences using the most unconventional methods. Still that timid boy from Flatbush, Brooklyn, still a student of craft, still changing the World one show at a time.
