His influences born with “Dimitri From Paris” radio show from 1987 to 1989, discovering the house music, disco and electro. In 1994 Rocco started his first residency at Space (Lyon- France) where he played warm up sets for the greats such as DJ Deep, Laurent Garnier and Carl Cox. In 1996, He developed his soulful style at the Ambassade club (Lyon- France), playing alongside Louie Vega, Lenny Fontana or Kenny Carpenter. Later, Rocco moved to Portugal holding residencies at various clubs including the Studio and Hot Rio before returning to France. He teamed up with AlexS, David, and Manoo in 2001 to form Rodamaal. They released their popular single “Love Island” on Jazz-Up records. Rodamaal has been largely supported and followed so far by Ben Watt (Everything But The Girl). This is how they released one of their first EPs, “Musica Feliz” (ft. Nicinha) on Buzzin’Fly Records… Finally, Rocco was officially signed in 2003 on Buzzin’Fly Recordings. But “Insomnia” is definitively the greatest hit of Rodamaal in 2005, also remixed by Âme, becoming a classic in Deep house! From that time, Rocco composes in solo and with his team Rodamaal. He’s become the real relief of Deep house music in France, mixing garage, deep, techno or oldschool style. He’s used to reinvent and innovate his compositions more and more ambitious. He excites the curiosity of many record companies as “Freerange”, “Defected”… His talent has also been spot by different great artists who confided him remixes. All these events allowed him to gain the confidence of and international clubs… Now, Rocco plays across Europe, USA, Asia and more recently in South of Africa where the Deep House music is experiencing a huge success. Rocco was welcome more than three times in the last few months, playing for 3000 spectators! In September, Rocco released his latest big hit called “Someday” on Real Tone Records (Franck Roger). An awesome track uphold in the Traxsource’s charts for 3 weeks and already supported by Louie Vega, Mr V. or Laurent Garnier! Rocco is also involved in the BACK TO FUNDAMENTALS project, lead by Claude MONNET. He released two tracks with Claude and with Klément Bonelli: 90’s / Les Célestins… Lately Rocco did some hot remixes for The Jaffers and Jerk house connection fully supported by Louie Vega, Jimpster and Marques Wyatt to names the few… Actually he’s working in different project wich will include original production, remixes and compilation for different label like Real Tone, Gogo Music , Offering , Folliage, Zrecords … 225 1.0
