<description>Michelle Owen has been a DJ since 1998. Half Italian and originally from Sydney Australia, she moved overseas in 2007 to pursue her career in music which led her to live in Ibiza (2007) and now based in Berlin. She has played in Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia, China, and England.

Currently working on productions of her own, an EP with James Flavour from Dirt Crew, collaborating music on Samim and Miguel Toro's music blog crashroots.com and recording voice overs for soundcloud.com

For the last 10 years Michelle has been involved in the music industry to some extent. Working for FUGA, Beatport.com (Berlin), Buzzin Fly Records (London), Phonica Records (London), SONYBMG Australia, Eyelash Records (her own label 2002-2005), worked in records stores 'Central Station' and 'Savage', hosted on radio shows, 'Rhythm FM' and 'FBI' (Sydney).

Michelle started early, at the age 15 she was hanging out at recording studios like 'Damien Gerard Sound Studios' and Charring Cross as assistant sound engineer. This lead her to work with some great Australian bands like, 'The Church' but all the passion started when she bought her first electric guitar. After high school she was introduced to house music after hearing Danny Tenaglia play one of his famous all night sets on New Years Eve. This changed alot and a new challenge presented itself...how to mix music?

After working three jobs, she bought some 2nd hand turntables and started to practice! Three years later Michelle was playing in Sydneys best clubs and held residencies at YU (Sydney), Sounds On Sunday (Sydney), Home (Sydney), Tank (Sydney), Chinese Laundry (Sydney) and was invited to play at Australian festivals Field Day Festival (Sydney) and Good Vibrations (Sydney).

in 2005 she traveled overseas for the first time to the island of Ibiza, curious to see what she had heard so much about. This trip introduced her to a whole new sound, hearing amazing sets from Loco Dice, Tania Volcano, Steve Bug, in the seting of Circo Loco.
She also traveled to Valencia to play at the Electrospalsh Festval just on the shores of Benicassim. Here she played along side Booka Shade, Mandy, DJ T, Phonique and more.

This trip pretty much sold her on the notion to move overseas as soon as she possibly could and in 2007 she made the move to Ibiza for the summer playing for Manumission in the Coco Loco room and working for Ibiza Rocks.

After Ibiza she moved to London briefly to work with Benn Watt at Buzzin Fly Records but got a job working with Beatport.com, so moved to Berlin and this is where she currently resides.

In 2008, Michelle was invited to play at 'Love Parade' in Dortmund, Germany on the Pulse Radio float alongside, Time Green, Ewan Pearson, Murat and Yousef. Over 1 Million people attended this event.

In 2009, Michelle became resident for Berlin's newest club, Dice and has hosted many gigs there inviting producers such as Pezzner, Chris Duckenfield, Morgan Geist and Huake Freer to play with her. Also she was invited ot play at 'Jackson' at Crackers one of Berlins best kept secrets!

Releases coming soon on Dirt Crew Recordings, Lost My Dog and Dogmaik Records.
