DPR/GROOVECHRONICLES is the brainchild of DJ/PRODUCER NOODLES formulated in 1997. The idea for the label which stands for Dat Pressure Records was "cutting edge hybrid beats"which was Noodles driving force for "being a bit different".
Years later this label is still recongized as being the foundation of some of todays genre, 2step/dubstep and grime and has been mentioned as being influential to many new producers of these styles..
Noodles aka Groovechronicles has been involved in the dance music scene for the last 21 years, working in influential record shop's in London like passion records(inside mash oxford street) unity records, unit 2 aka flying records, release the groove, uptown records and zoom records in Camden town.
He was able to explore at first hand new labels and artists who became the foundation of the ever fast and growing music culture, from early acid house parties, to open staged event, to current music styles of today.
Whilst in the forefront playing a valuable role in supplying good music to DJ's He went into production and started to produce his own style, which was released on his own label (Groovechronicles/ DPR recordings).
The tracks were a mixture of other musical styles from labels that inspired him such as Balance, Guidance, Smack music, Strictly rhythm, Henry St., Reinforce records, Moving shadow, Ram records . Because of his links within the record shops he was able spread his material too main stream and underground DJ's and with their support tracks like Stone cold, 1999, Black puppet, Muzik, Twisted soul, and Angel body became classic's on the UK 2step garage club scene.
As Noodles reputation grew there were demands for his remixing skills working with major artists such as Sia, Lucy pearl, Damage, Jagged edge, Dru hill, Myron, Incognito, Goldie and Destinys child .
Noodles diversity as a Dj has led to a very full career featuring in various musical publications and Doing guest appearances on tv and radio, whilst rocking crowds across Europe and playing in Londons leading nightclubs spinning everything from 2step, Deep house through to US style Garage/House as well as Drum'n'Bass.
But as Noodles says" this musical journey will never end for me, as long as people want to hear good music and enjoy themselves I'll keep on DJing and producing."........
