Spykidelic is the DJ moniker of Tony F Wilson (born: 1974, London), erstwhile record producer, promoter and journalist (Knives ov Resistance/Zurich/Echo Park/VICE/Frieze). Described as a “genre blind maestro” by London’s Resonance FM, his DJ sets owe more to the sample collages of Steinski and Negativland than to conventional club DJing. Dausteg (Deathstep), an irregular club night in collaboration with Norwegian artist and musician Are Mokkelbost, sees the pair mixing and matching the dynamics of Black Metal and Modern Composition with Grime, Dancehall and Dubstep.
