I can here the resampling of the attack transients. The actual pitch of the attack being repitched -- a side effect of sample based subs, rather than synthesized.

This does have a sort of nice punch to it around here, almost like it's snapping out of a compressor. It may just be the envelope shapes? But it seems to have a bit of a saturated quality, you get in the analog-domain, to it.

I've actually been working on a VST plugin for the sole purpose of synthesizing sub-bass notes. :) Are software instruments part of your rig these days? -Earl
