Obsidian is produced from Volcanic lava and in pure form it’s dark in appearance. Obsidian is hard and brittle; it therefore fractures with very sharp edges, which had been used in the past for weapons. Now it is used for Electronic Music.

With Obsidian's last three releases charting on Beatport via Synth City Records, Play Me Too and Big Fish Recordings, Obsidian is the one to watch!

“I love all electronic music genres such as electro, trance, house and drum & bass but my heart is definitely with Dubstep”, says Joey Jensen (Obsidian), born and raised in Denmark but relocated to California. He started out as a Drum & Bass producer until he found his calling for dubstep.

Obsidian is now a trained Sound Engineer / Producer / DJ, who has been involved in the audio for live concerts for numerous big names, including The Eagles, U2, Pendulum, Tiësto, Above & Beyond and Armin Van Buuren.

Combining his professional knowledge of sound with his passion for electronic music, Obsidian is now doing it big in LA.
