While the name ‘Nutrition on Tape’ is intended to evoke a kind of self-hypnosis diet audiobook, the recorded music blends aspects of idm, electronica, indie rock and trip-hop styles. Hardware sampling is used extensively to build songs from sounds which are short in duration. Key ingredients include drum machines, melodic stabs, sliced guitars, and chopped vocals.
Queen Bee, the début EP was written and produced in a London flat during winter 2008-2009. The mission here was to create a small exhibition of interesting, melodic tracks.
An LP is planned for release in 2010.
