This is Cynthia Hanna. She is a twenty eight year old mezzo-soprano who completed the Washington National Opera’s Domingo-Cafritz Young Artist program in the spring of 2010.

She made her international debut in the Savonlinna Opera Festival in Finland, singing the role of Suzuki in Madama Butterfly. She has performed in Beijing her where she was Maddalena in Rigoletto, alongside Plácido Domingo in the titular main role. She has sung on the stage of Carnegie Hall and this summer will be Mercedes in Bizet’s Carmen at the Glimmerglass Opera in Cooperstown, NY.
