Recent loyalist protests over new restrictions on the flying of the Union Jack at Belfast City Hall have brought tension and fear back to the city of Belfast in recent weeks. For many traders, the run-up to Christmas has been disrupted by shoppers increasing reluctance to spend as much time in the city centre as in previous years. Whilst life in the city continues as usual on the surface, underneath bubble old fears which we thought were behind us.
