Music is at the centre of house culture, but fashion, dance or the party spirit can equally capture peoples imagination, driving them to go out week after week, dancing with eyes shut, smiling and dripping with sweat...

For many years I did just that, and was lucky enough to do so in some of the best clubs in the UK - The Sub Club, The Arches, Alaska (Silicone Soul) all in Glasgow , The Republic in Sheffield, The Warehouse and Mint Club in Leeds, plus a quite a few more that no longer exist. I hope the attitude I brought made a contribution to some great nights. Who knows? That’s what it felt like. I don’t party as much now, so, instead I sit at my computer making music in the hope that someone somewhere will be on a dance floor, eyes shut, in some personal paradise, dancing to this music, feeling like they've found their true self.
