Deep/Disco House DJ, Producer and host of the Delusions Of Grandeur podcast.
Norm has been working in the industry and playing Deep/Disco House in London since the turn of the millennium. He cites his biggest influences as Ron Hardy, Studio 45 and Sound Stream. He currently works for Jimpster’s Delusions Of Grandeur label and hosts the monthly podcast. In 2010 he launched his own vinyl-only edits imprint "Plumage".
In November 2010 his 1st 12” dropped on Plumage receiving support from: DJ Harri, The Revenge, Tornado Wallace, Mic Newman, The Dead Rose Music Company, Eddie C and Cottam (amongst many others). This was closely followed by a superb remix of Tornado Wallace's "Alway's Twirling" for Delusions Of Grandeur.
“The Groove Grocer EP” on the excellent (vinyl only) Kolour Limited series was released in July 2011 - two tracks of which made it onto “The LTD Chronicles” CD compilation mixed by 6th Borough Project. The Franc Spangler Remix of “Steady Teddy” from this EP also featured in Move D’s live Boiler Room set in January 2012.
April 2012 saw Norm on remix duties again with a deep and heavy, slow burning remix of “So Easy” by Shades Of Gray for Sideways Recordings.
After a two year production hiatus Norm has returned to the studio and revived his Plumage label with PLUMAGE02 set to drop in April 2014, and already receiving support from the likes of Jimpster, Ben La Desh, & Cottam (amongst many others).
In addition to his studio productions Norm also throws his own party: “Wayward” is a deep-disco-beat-down who’s guests have included Matt Masters, Zoo Look, The Dead Rose Music Company, Deep Space Orchestra, Franc Spangler & Ben Sun.
He's also a regular at the Delusions Of Grandeur label nights spinning alongside 6th Borough Project, Session Victim & Jimpster at Corsica Studios & Fabric. His international touring has taken him to Berlin, Mexico City, Melbourne & Sydney.
Much like the music that can be heard on his podcast, in a live situation Norm brings together slo-mo disco edits & deep mid-tempo house vibes through to pacier, underground & disco house. Expect plenty of original disco 12s & edits along the way from the classic to the obscure and of course some up-front, pre-release DOG nuggets!
