Battle ready and always on the cutting edge of what's happening in music around the globe, this is a dj/producer who has taken the term "mash up" to a whole new level. With over 10 years served on the battlefield around Canada, dj NME is a seasoned veteran in the drum n bass and hip hop/turntablism worlds. Dominating dj battles and lighting dancefloors on fire since the age of 18, this young man is only starting his worldwide takeover. Winning the first dj battle he ever entered at the age of 19, NME knew this was his calling and only the start of things to come. Playing with international hip hop recording artists like Kardinal Offishall and Belly while maintaining residencies at some of the hottest nightclubs in Canada is what dj NME does in his off time from the drum n bass world. Although this man is versatile and maintains strength in many genres (mainly dubstep/ breaks/dancehall/electro/hip hop and turntablism) his roots all started with a love for drum n bass.
Over the years dj NME has formed a truly original and unique style all of his own with drum n bass that stems from his love of all types of music. Having played with some of the biggest promotion teams in the game and on some of the loudest sound systems in Canada, it is safe to say this man can hold it down just about anywhere he ends up with a record box. Self taught and battle ready, the drive to hustle beats harder has taken this dj to many places across Canada. Playing in cities like Montreal, Halifax and St John's New Brunswick to name a few. In his own territory NME has headlined alongside drum n bass artists like Dirtyphonics, Krinjah, Top Cat, Medicine Muffin, Mickey Finn, DJ K, Mighty Melody, Debaser, Benny Page, Ragga Scum, Erb n Dub, RCola and many many more.
Currently NME is working on a full length album due out the end of 2010. Expect an arsenal of proper beats from all different genres featuring artists like Krinjah, Rwudebwoy dj, Illist, D Fyne Stylez and Original Education! Also keep on the lookout for brand new studio mixes coming April 2010, as well as an all new podcast series from RSK.
