Aspiring composer studying traditional composition, arranging, and orchestration. I'm currently interested in neoclassical composition + "ambient" + "electronica" -- currently anyway. :-) However, I post tracks here as they get to various stages of completion. Comments, suggestions, tips of whatever stripe are always welcome.
Please check out my music production blog "subnoto::indico" at http://www.nk-e.com and thank you.
@stretta: Thanks Stretta...will do.
No. She didn't get bored. This is just very nicely done. My compliments. The repetitive structures interplay nicely creating new things...so it doesn't get boring. I like it!
This is a helluva live set. Want to share any info about your setup for this track? A KORE performance maybe...?
I tend to like short pieces. Very nicely done.
I'm assuming the voice was part of the initial intro? If so, it was mixed in very subtly. Bravo.
I like the repetition effect here.
Nice.
Beautiful transition.
Kind of a long silent tail here though....
Again, very Budd like to my ears. (A good thing! :-) )
Lush...very nice
@rafiralfiro: Thank you. I'm working on a release made up of lots of short tracks...mostly 2 minutes or less, maybe 3 minutes tops...
Nice.
Like this build up...
Very nice. Delicate.
@Forss: in the meantime, one can simply delete the track from the dropbox if so inclined.....
@Silentmusic: Thanks!! All softsynths.
@Julien Mier: Thanks Julien for the encouragement. Lots of my stuff tends to be really short ... 1 - 2 minutes ... I'll revisit it.
@Nathan Rain: I would agree about the opening and closing being far too different, though I think it held together a bit longer than you might have. Still very good, very original.
OK. Now I may be with you on the "losing the ambience" thing... :-)
I like where this is going...I had a few problems with the opening...the pads seemed to meander a bit, but they fit here.
@Nathan Rain: I think it's ok...
Great percussion and sub bass happening here
Nice vocal interject.
Excellent music and production quality...Makes me want to catch the film to see how this stuff was used. Good stuff.
Well I can see why you won that medal... :-)
I could totally see this on 'Cold Case'. Nice work.
@Mattie San: ah, a good point!
i rather like the ending.
ahhh...smoothness returns. :-)
A bit too crunchy here for my tastes
What synth or VI are you using here....? Just curious.
I like that ... great synth sound + beats.
Overall a nice mix...demanding though...30 minutes!
There's a nice evolution of the sound...a "thinning" out that keeps it interesting.
cool. :-)
nice vibe happenin' here. like the percussion bouncing around in the headphones...
Really uplifting ...
I dunno...it's kind of too "happy" for BOC....
Nice groove happening here.
