Gearing up for his world tour, Njel de Mesa is a once-in-a-lifetime all-around artist. He sings, dances, breakdances, beatboxes, and plays 16 musical instruments. A multi-Don Carlos Palanca Awards for Literature awardee, he recently won the Most Promising Artist award from the Philippine Digital Music Awards and ABS-CBN’s DREAM Songwriting Competition. He is also Meg magazine’s Young Achiever of 2004 and Chalk Magazine’s Young, Beautiful, Successful Batch of 2003. As a record producer, he writes music for Universal Records & STAR records and is the founder of Koiné Theater Foundation (a foundation that gives performing arts scholarships to streetkids).
