The latest single form the superb album, “The House That Dirt Built” is the hard-rocking “No Time.” Built from a truly monstrous drum break, horn fanfares and Zepp-gauge riffage, The Heavy build the perfect backdrop on which Swaby can holla and testify. About “losing the love that made you feel whole,” the tune is such an ecstatic assault on the senses that, it has to be said, breaking up, has never sounded so good. So good, in fact, that PlayStation are using the track in their adverts for their Champions League adverts. What’s better after a break up, after all, than football and computer games?!

Continuing the temporal theme of the title track, The Heavy also offer the exclusive “In Time,” a delicate ballad built around falling acoustic guitar chords, strings and Swaby’s gripping falsetto. The single is rounded out by Ghost’s “Extra Time” remix of the lead track, a rugged reminder of The Heavy’s roots in hip hop.

Produced by Jim Abbiss (best known for his work with the Arctic Monkeys, Adele and Kasabian), “The House That Dirt Built” is a breakthrough record from one of the most exciting bands in the UK just now. With a growing rep in the States, a recent appearance on Jonathan Ross’ top-rated weekend radio show and dates in the UK coming up at the end of the month, the Heavy have just built their house on your front lawn. Get used to the view.
