DJ DJIX /Digital Killers Records/
Nikola Djikic a.k.a. DJ DJIX is a young DJ/Producer from Paracin, Serbia.
His music story starts on high school parties in 2005, but revolution in his music career happened after his moving to Zrenjanin for college, in 2007 where he first came in contact with some of the biggest DJs from Serbia which opened his eyes to a wider musical experience. In 2008 he met his greatest musical influence, Goran Starcevic, whose advices and sets affected his future work.
Starting from 2009 Nikola got his first experiences working with some of the biggest DJs from across the globe, many significant names included Junior Jack, Kid Creme, Sandy Rivera, Silicone Soul, Gramophonezie, No Rabbitz, Peppe, Wise D & Kobe, Dave Floyd, Groovyman, Manjane, Mark Funk, Hyde & Sick, Peter Gold, Mirko & Meex (Ultimate Grooves), Dimiz, Oysha, Conte etc.
He has worked in many clubs and festivals across his native Serbia including Exit’s ‘Share Conference’ (Dom Omladine, Belgrade, 2011.), Soundlovers 3 Music Festival (Open Air Cinema, Zrenjanin, 2011.), The Love Festival (Vrnjacka Banja 2011.), Beer Fest in Zrenjanin 2011. (Garden Beck’s Stage & Tuborg DJ Stage) and Soundlovers 4 Music Festival (“Electric Area”, Zrenjanin, 2012).
October 2010. Saw Nikola become a mainstay broadcaster for Urban City Radio (www.urbancityradio.com). His Radio Show “URBAN LIFE” is broadcasting every Wednesday amassing one hundred shows.
His love for music leads him in production waters where (after a series of very successful solo mash-ups) in collaboration with DJone from Zrenjanin achieved success from the very beginning, with songs ADGM (GruvTech Recordings, December 2011), Boomerang and Emotionally Separated (Digital Killers Records, January 2012).
Nikola in 2013 has agreed along with his compatriot Djone to become the spearhead presenters for DKR’s first even online worldwide radio show, ‘DKR Serial Killers’ radio show.
His sets are never monotonous and never consist of only one genre. He currently finds himself in groovy deep/tech house with lots of funky and disco influences that sometimes exceeds to progressive house, as well as some harder techno music.
