I dunno, just my 2c but maybe kill the hats completely in this break. I think it may give a stronger impact for when the track kicks in again.
I'm not familiar with a huge amount of your work but this track does seem like a bit of a departure from the sounds you normally do...and it's really cool - I like it a lot.
Smooth - really good
This drop is awesome! This would be peak time in the club with everyone hooked - great work!
Excellent - really well done. Nice clarity with the production too.
I'm a big Stones fan, you know, but I've always thought that the original of this was just too tame - I much prefer the Guns n Roses version for this reason. This mix you've done gives the original the flare I think it so desperately needed in the first place.
Cool sounds and bass - reminds me of some of your earlier works on Hooj in the late 90s. Nice Work
Love the build, great remix! Would definitely play it out in a club - it would work very well. It's a dance floor stomper!
Awesome - I love it, really great vibe!
@magneticsound: Thanks dude, glad you like it :)
An exceptional piece of work - well done! I love it, has a wonderful summer groove.
Really great work at this point in the track - really clever
Very good - the use of the 'Over and over' lyric as a backing vocal works really well.
Like the kick pattern a lot and the sounds are cool - the whitenoisey snare is nice. I'll look forward to hearing it when it's finished and all the sounds are nice and phat.
Really great vocals
Quality - I love tribal rhythms like this
@andrew Cox: Fixed the rogue snare - a bit less compression, a fairly wide route through a low pass filter and a little less gain, et voilà. A new final version now uploaded. =)
Love it - sounds great when all the sounds are in the mix. That subtle background synth which moves through the chords adds so much. I like the little toy piano sounds on the breakdown too.
Wow, really good and highly original - there's just so many strong sounds in there. It's an absolute stomper!
Excellent (and I'm only a minute in)
I haven't heard the original mix but this is an awesomely happy, hands-in-the-air track. I'll be humming it for days on end :)
@Andrew Cox: Thanks Andrew, I'm glad you like the sound. Darn, that's a snare gone AWOL caused by some bad over compression by myself. I'm glad you mentioned it as I don't really want people to bleed from their ears! I'll adjust the compression, run it through a filter and see if I get a decent result. Thanks again, James
Yup, this is good. Very deep and there is a strong drive created by the bass and the background sounds. The panning FX and stabs are cool (I'm listening to it on headphones and my now head is all over the place). The subtle snare drum is cool - I imagine it works a lot better than having a real punchy snare sound. Very good, I like it! Bet it would sound awesome on a big system. Have you road tested it much?
From the off, this just rocks! Quality breaks
Really great, deep sounds - so layered and rich. Some deep sounding tracks don't have a lot of energy but this works so well - it has wonderful rhythm and a great drive. Love it
Excellent mix - really great track selection and transitions. Certainly one of the best sets I've heard on SoundCloud...well done!
Smiles all round at this very twisted Dark and Long =)
This is probably the best remix that's ever been done. The original was great but this surpasses it in every way possible!
Wow, this is a find - I never knew LG remixed this. The man has done well...
This is a cool mix and I'm someone who isn't a big fan of minimal stuff, so you've done well. At the point where I write, I love this tune - it drops really well from the previous one. Lol at the Nihilism reference - I wouldn't think too much about it though as it's not the most positive outlook to have on life =)
You are a sick, sick man - thanks for making this available for download - awesome remix! The melody mid way through is superb!
This is great, Michelle! As soon as it started I thought the percussion was great and the jazzy elements give it a great swinging feel. Most importantly, it makes you wanna dance =) Nice work
This end sound reminds me a lot of the sounds used in Sasha's Magnetic North. It's very clever - I have no idea how to create this myself. Also, just before the end, is that the Reason Scream distortion unit being used for the kind of hollow tube background sound?
Hey Andrew, this is my kind of music - a really nice piece of prog. At the point where I write this, it sounds great when everything comes in just after the short pause. The hi/lo background rhythm adds a lot of character and the bass is very cool. You have loads of these cool, atmospheric FX in the main breakdown which work really well into the build up. The build around 3:30 may benefit from a bit more intensity. Also, the potency of the kick seems to be lost amongst all the sounds and may need a little more punch. I'm no expert though and this may not be too much of a big deal as it is more of a laid back prog piece which probably doesn't require a heavy kick. A really nice piece of work - I'd love to be able to put something like this together myself.
Love this, the best version. Very addictive bassline and I love how the synth chords start out really smooth and then develop into squelchy stabs (for the want of a better description). Nice work, sir! :)
Wow, the sounds in this are gorgeous. This is my favourite track that you've done - it should be featured on a a 'Back to mine' or 'Cafe del Mar' compilation. Beautiful =)
The quick arp synth stabs are cool, and the different drum patterns which come in are well done and give the track a good drive. You know what, I like this one - has a really nice spacey (and, in parts, almost sinister) quality about it.
I love this - wonderful rhythm and bass which drives the whole track. Great dreamy break and then back into the drive again. A dance floor hit for sure - well done!
Nice, really smooth...
Superb! Has a really great feel to it. I'd love to hear this in a club on a big sound system.
