About

Hi there and welcome to my soundcloud page,

I guess I've been here on SoundCloud for quite a while now, and I am so grateful that SC ever happened. Not only is it a beautifully executed site, but most important of all it helps people come together around music. The community here is second to none, and I'm amazed at how SC has succeeded in keeping it all about the music.

Now, I've been writing songs since I got my first guitar at 15; The first one featured two-string guitar playing, since I didn't know any chords yet, and was a Soundgarden-inspired piece called Whatsoever. Quite a lot has happened since then.

I forgot how to use my own voice, somehow found that out again due to Damien Rice and patience, took a five year break from music to become a game designer and build a game studio, moved from Denmark to Portugal and finally, in May 2011, I quit in order to play much more music. To have that back in my life. And SC has been such a wonderful help in achieving this.

Now I'm back in Copenhagen doing all I can to share this music that's such a big part of me with everyone else on SC and in the world. It's a tough, tiresome piece of work but never has anything felt so rewarding.

Thanks for tuning in and stay cool.

<3 N

Thanks so much for all the comments folks! You've definitely helped point me in some directions and I really needed some feedback! Thanks :D And thanks for all the praise as well - it does not go unnoticed, even if the new SC is a bit hard to work with in terms of many things... :)

I feel like this part could do with the addition of some voices at first humming and then singing "o'er the moors etc" - if anyone's interest in giving it a shot PM me! :D

@markjbennett: Ah! No, this IS a banjo. It's simply my talented friend Jesper "Mad" Madsen who's playing his - not mine. I haven't personally acquired one yet, but surely will exactly I was so impressed by the way it allows you to build texture and percussion-like effect into a track. Love it! :)

Very, very mature performance; love the way you use your voice and the vocal arrangement... If you could turn the lyrics into something slightly more personal I'd be completely blown away, but a lovely tune - parabéns! :)

Very nice song, but I'm a little annoyed at how distant-sounding the vocals are (or, the whole tune, rather). Dunno whether it's the equipment, the mix or whatever, but I'd pour on some loudness to emphasize lyrics and the goodness of the song..! :)

A nice take on rock nowadays. Very controlled, tight and at the same time with some clear heavy elements. Like it!
