About
Nicole Chen Lin (born May 31, 1986) is a Singapore based celebrity/model disc-jockey who
goes by the stage name of Model DJ Nicole C. Having started modeling at the tender age of
four where she appeared in commercials and advertisements for the likes of Milkmaid, Pizza
Hut and SingTel—she is no stranger to the entertainment business. Her early start in
harnessing her talent through acting classes and classical piano training has enabled Nicole to
be well-equipped with the skills and appreciation for the creative arts. Since then, Nicole has
appeared in various locally produced television reality shows and advertorials (modeling)
and is most known for taking the crown in 2007 as Miss Earth Singapore, representing the country in the internationally acclaimed pageant.
Trained in Melbourne, the Singaporean Model DJ cultivated her passion and love for music
and translated it to the decks where she is known for her energetic and electrifying up-tempo
electro-house/dirty-dutch sets. What started out as a hobby and the occasional gig at exclusive
VIP parties has since evolved into a promising career for Nicole who has opened for big
names like Steve Aoki, Felix the House Cat and Johnny Vicious and has made a name for
herself as the first female model DJ in Singapore. Starting out as a resident DJ in A971, a
popular Japanese fusion themed nightspot, Nicole has since ventured onto the international
shores of Japan, Hong Kong and Phuket. She also recently performed at the Formula 1 (F1)
Heritage Row party in KL.
Her good looks and outstanding talent and ear for music has earned Nicole over 60,000 fans
on Facebook and other media as well as a growing international demand for her sets—all
within an impressive time span of six months. With an already impressive and promising
track record, Nicole hopes to attain even greater heights and reach her ultimate goal of
producing her own music and maybe even cutting her own album.
As Nicole puts it, “I want to move crowds and I want to do that through my music.”
