Single- Nick Jaguar – Ride On -

    Press Release-
Music to watch Vampires by... ‘Ride On drags you on a journey into darkest Americana.’

Ride On is a menacing gothic western that evokes images of expansive and dangerous desert plains. This beautiful melding of fifties style double bass and rhythm guitar with rockabilly and 60’s garage-band takes those references and slows them down to forge a shuffling, edgy, cinematically cool sidearm.

The first offering from Nick Jaguar will just as likely attract fans of Tarantino movies as it will Pixies, Beck, Last Shadow Puppets or Portishead lovers. Sharing similar derivatives; twangy reverb, Dick Dale surf guitar, abstract image-heavy lyrics, it successfully draws these influences together into a well rounded timeless blanket.

Originally intended as a b-side and recorded primarily in a garage, the resulting production has a warm, ballsy, lo-fi appeal and the lyrics conjure noir screenplays, bank robbers, rail-roads cowboys, blood-suckers and Mexican bare knuckle fist fights. Ride On drags you on a journey into darkest Americana.
