I arrange, write, record and produce various music. Mostly arrangements of Video Game Music! I love VGM so much, 90% of my music library consists of VGM. Without it, I dont' know who i'd be today. It's a huge part of me and my life. I could never give it up.
And even though a large part of my Arrangements
are metal/rock in Nature, I like to diversify a LOT
depending on the source material. And very little of what I actually listen to is rock hahah.

@Om Network: Yeah sounds like it would've been a good idea to implement in there! I made this in one night last Februrary. I'll keep it in mind for future songs :p

@cyan11: hah, well these days I feel like i could go back and change a lot (Medleyitis. An abrubt transition or two). I had to rush to get it finished by the deadline because I had been incapacitated for 2+ months with a leg injury (Couldn't sit at a desk at all. Plus I moved back to Oregon from California in early July of '11. So that put a dent in things as well) and had other songs I had to finish before I got to this one. I did nothing but eat sleep and work on this song for a whole month. I'm glad you liked it!

Doesn't sound like Devil May Cry that much honestly.

I mean it sounds good. It's like " Ambient Film music dubstep"

It sounds somewhat simliar in texture to some of the battle themes in previous games but only because of some of the synthesizers.

But otherwise, it just doesn't really sound like DMC.

I hold my breath however, maybe the other music sounds like DMC music. Which is to say, it should sound Gothic.

I'm sure in interviews they'll give out all this typical nonsense "We wanted to reach a broader audience, and really take our own creative license and do something new with the music!"
With a storied and established franchise like this, you should respect the roots and what styles of music goes with the brand.
