oh, hello there.

I’m Nic Bennett.

You can hear my songs on Nic Bennett (so I don’t have to tell you what they’re about) or come see me play live, as I play a lot of gigs. I supported a little munchkin called Lewis Watson back in August, and am supporting The Hoosiers in December at Margate Winter Gardens, which would've been really cool if it were still 2006.

I’ve been main support for many bands before too, who are way more successful than me, like Morcheeba and Jon Fratelli, and played festivals including Guilfest (RIP) and Lounge On The Farm, along with sold out supports at venues including the London Scala and Paris Bataclan.

Did a few live sessions for BBC radio (I didn't know about Jimmy Saville then) and KMFM - which was nice – they played my recordings too – as did TF1 (Channel 1) on French prime time TV.

Got myself a publishing deal with Impact, didn't I. They also have Les Mckeoun (Bay City Rollers [once again, if i'd known about the drummer...]) and Twenty Twenty on their roster.

I record at Eastriver studio with Kevin Jones, of 80s’ superstars Two Minds Crack – I have their record on my wall, in my hallway – I had to get it off ebay from Germany, so don’t steal it if you come round – nick a Smiths’ one instead, or something.

I love squirrels, monkeys, squirrel monkeys, chipmunks, kittens, meerkats (even before the adverts), rabbits and penguins. I saw a giraffe the other day – I like them too now :)

If more people were like Tasha Luckhurst the world would be a better place ♥.
