Nez Erok was born on September 22nd, 1977, in the city of Perth, Western Australia. Nez was born into a working class Turkish and Cypriot family.Her parent's immigrated to Australia in the early 1970's. From a very young age, Nez was deeply immersed in music and her talent was apparent. By the time she was 9, Nez was singing in the school choir and in the Turkish children’s choir. It was this devout passion for music that set the stage for Nez to follow into a career in music.
Nez's voice is astonishingly pure and rich despite the fact that she had very little vocal training. Nez went to university for academic purposes rather than to pursue education in music. After graduating from Curtin University of Technology in 2005, in 2007 Nez recorded her first track in Perth, so that she could pursue her dream of a career in music.
Nez has a stunning collection of ballad’s, but her main genre and style is in trance, house, and electro music. Her album, "Play by Love" showcases both Nez's unique vocal delivery and her knack for scribing deeply personal, sophisticated electronica. Her single "Beautiful" has been a top 20 underground music hit. At present Nez continues to make music in Melbourne. She is at the heart of what makes dance music young, fresh, exciting and new.
