Electronic Dance Music Area "Music is the answer to your problems" - Danny Tenaglia
First release from the upcoming album 'Ego'.
'Falling' will be released worldwide by Rec Rec Records, 25/11.
Written, produced, recorded, arranged and performed by Newtimers.
Newtimers are Andreas Cavaco and Tim Lundblad, both located in Stockholm, Sweden.
After working on album after album (still intentionally unreleased) for the Newtimers-project, and after writing and producing songs for numerous acts (they're both signed songwriters/producers), the guys got tired of their perfectionist ways and decided to be spontaneous to the fullest - presenting the first track from the upcoming album 'Ego'.
'Falling' is a sexy, swinging, messy, electronic track pop-track with edgy vocals with an rnb-twist. Make those walls shake with this one, pre-party, after-party, party of one and party of two, three, fou…yeah, i know you get where i'm going with this.
Get down on it. Newtimers - 'Falling'.
"I’m never at a loss for words. I don’t know if this is entirely awesome, or entirely terrible. I can’t make up my mind. If Chromeo and Michael Jackson had a child, this is maybe what they’d sound like."
Beneath the disco pop sounds of ABBA, the fembot electro pop of Robyn, and the of soaring dream pop from The Sound Of Arrows, there lurks in the Scandinavian underbelly something that we weren’t quite expecting to hear, electro meets, soul grooves?
Stockholm producers Andreas Cavaco and Tim Lundblad, have completely shaken up the Swedish rule book of how to make candy pop and taken their Newtimers electronic project down an altogether funkier path.
Take the swagger of Chromeo, the Motown Jazz funk of Stevie Wonder, not forgetting to add in the all important typically Swedish element of bubbling shimmering synths, and you have here ladies and gentleman another recipe of resounding success from the land of “never can do no wrong”.
If your reading eyes can’t quite believe it, let your listening ears hear it out!
Check out below the first track “Falling” from their forthcoming album “Ego” – all glistening and fine and drooling in sexylicious.
Swedish Sex Sounds! Yes! - People with this track on their weekend seduction playlist: 1. People without it: 0. So arm yourselves accordingly, people.
Reason No. 44,567 why the Swedes are incapable of making bad music: This sexy-time gem from the Stockholm-based Newtimers (songwriter/ producer duo Andreas Cavaco and Tim Lundblad) that conjures up an 8-bit electro-soul wonderland seemingly built from the combined inspiration of Chromeo and ’80′s funk acts Slave and Ready For The World. Boasting images of “naked bodies on the kitchen floor” that make the “neighbors envious” and brow-raising lines like “Singing while you cumming/ I could hear you falling for me” atop a cheap-sounding Casio groove, the naughty “Falling” inches pretty close into being some SNL ’90′s R&B spoof, but it’s those “Are they really serious?” question marks clouding over it that makes the track so appealing, definitely leaving us curious as to what else this band are cooking up for their forthcoming Ego debut.
