nervous_testpilot has released all kinds of music in the past, from electronica (Data Capture) to hardcore (Nu Energy). He is currently working on progressive trance tracks, and on the soundtrack for Mode 7 Games' indie strategy game Frozen Synapse.
I really like this track - nice and mellow.
I have a tip for you - try putting a gate after your reverb to make the reverb cut off sharply - it makes percussion sounds more chunky, especially claps. So you get "PAHHH" instead of "PAAAHHHHHhhhhhh". I think this track could benefit from some gated reverb, as the claps blur into the big Underworld chords a bit and I'd like to hear them stand out a bit more.
Kick and sub bass are nice and I like the clap sample as well.
Really nice work - very clean and clear mix.
This is like having your head drilled steadily for the entire duration, and I mean that in a complimentary fashion!
Thanks dude!
Very cool track indeed.
@clubdesign: Yep, there's a full version of this which should be getting a release at some point.
I've done about 10 different versions of this now - there was a problem with the percs not being bright enough basically. I will delete all the old versions and replace with the new one soon....lesson: don't be premature with your Soundcloud!
@clubdesign: Thank you!
@DJMAC: Thank you sir!
@h 2: Er...there are two versions of this but I'm not sure this section is different in the other one! This is the version with the non-terrible lead sound in the main section!
Like the metally percs loop...
Really like that soft lead sound

@h 2: I think I may have fallen out with them because I forgot to send dubmood some remix parts he wanted. I'm sure that's not true. Yeah, I don't know why the QFS didn't like this, but the QFS works in mysterious ways.
The best thing ever was when Dubmood sidled up to me in Marseilles and said, "You...you know I'm in QFS right?"
Nobody else here knows what we're on about.
I like these drums.
GLITCH VST LOL
@Polycat: Awesome - I think it sounds a bit like the Delay Lama plugin as well!
Currently I'm wondering if I can get away with doing a trance record - y'know, that people actually want to release - with an Atari lead sound. Generally, only house can get away with really lo-fi leads, but I'm thinking if I put an unbelievable amount of delay and silly gated reverb on it, I could get away with it.
Really really like this. Just really like it.
Duuuuuuuubbbbwwwwiiiiiisseeee - which timestretching algorithm is that?
Mad like a fish in a cuboid.
Bonkers vox...disturbing!
Nice drop
This has some cool elements - too much nasty hi-freq stuff for me in places though. I think you're well on the way to something awesome in general, however.
I don't really understand this genre but this track is very moody - nice.
I love Ken Ishii as well!
GET OUT YOUR SPACE JAZZ!!!!
This has some amazing sounds in it - make an album.
Yep, you're crazy! Enjoyed this track though. Some slightly Underworld "Beaucoup Fish" vocal cutups going on there. Mad. Nice snappy snare.
Love this little percussive pitched noise - nice
@Binster: I'm rubbish at making these so I just used a sample and then tweaked it a bit so it kinda sorta sounds like the actual bass sound is dropping down. Getting a bit better at bendy basses - still find bass incredibly hard to get right.
@Binster: On a quest to make ever-more-ludicrous breakdowns...
This bendy, squishy chord sound happened completely by mistake because I made a compression plugin clip really badly....I liked the noise so I kept it.
Nice boot!
Never have been able to figure out the bass sound in Angel Falls - seems to be that wibbly-wobbly mid-range filtered part with a gated sub part, but the sub is so soft that it hardly seems to be there...
