neo [neo], ancient greek, from neos, new
signal [zɪŋˈnaːl], a sound, image, message or impulse transmitted or received through communication, media, voltage or current.

neosignal is an electronic music project originated in Hamburg / Germany at the tail
end of 2011. it started as a collaboration between Florian Harres, also known as
phace and Michael Bräuninger, also known as misanthrop.

both, phace and misanthrop, have been at the forefront of forward thinking Drum & Bass for years, especially known for their precise and distinctive sound and DJ sets. the duo decided to choose the new alter ego neosignal for their joint music
productions to reach out into new angles of electronic music.

to name a few, their previous productions as phace & misanthrop included the
internationally acclaimed full length from deep space LP, the chart storming desert
orgy and their boundary breaking energy EP, all of them released on their same
named record label [nsgnl]. the duo will release their first piece of music under the
new neosignal moniker around christmas 2011 on deadmau5’s mau5trap
recordings - the remix of noisia’s über-epic stigma.

neosignal’s unique sound is imbued with deep cinematic flourishes, explosive
energy, and a human analog touch, piquing demand for appearances at clubs,
festivals across the globe. their music receives support by international media, such as DJMAG, Mixmag, BBC and by acts like Amon Tobin, Skrillex, Noisia, Andy C,
Pendulum, Goldie, Feed Me, Ed Rush & Optical, Friction, amongst many others.

neosignal does not care about musical categorisation and restrictions, it cares about timeless characteristics and human emotion. neosignal is not only a group to watch, these guys have been around for a while and just waited for the right moment to enter new fields. on a mission to combine soul and technology in electronic music, neosignal is the answer.
