NEMS-B (PHONONS, Kick'n'Fat!)

Biography

Nahim Bendjilali aka NEMS-B was born in 1979 in the South of France. In 1996, he discovers electronic music during a rave party which quickly turns into a lifelong passion. Driven by his love of vinyl and American grooves (jazz, soul, funk, hip-hop...), he starts to play in parties at the beginning of 2002.

From 2004 to 2010, Nahim manages Underground Experience, a web radio show on parisone.com widely influenced by Detroit and Chicago tones; he receives international guests such as Santiago Salazar, Orlando Voorn, Roberto Bosco, Lee Holman and Franco Cangelli.

While living in Paris from 2008 to the end of 2010, he is an active member of the artists' collectives WE ARE and Kick'n'Fat! DJ NEMS-B spreads his house and techno sets throughout all over the capital.

At the beginning of 2011, he moves in his native South (Marseille) and starts to organize parties: he plays alongside Detroit Techno Militia at Spartacus Club (Aix-en-Provence) and Scène Bastille (Paris), as well as Esteban Adame in Montpellier and, more recently, at Audiophonix Festival (Martigues).

Swinging between Deep House, Dub Techno, Deep Techno and Detroit Techno, his DJ sets are trips of assorted sounds with only one goal: make people dance!
